Help HTC Sync

Trying to use HTC Sync to connect my sensation to my computer so I can back up my Contacts.

I have installed the program on my computer.

I plug in the phone with the USB cable.

The phone prompts me to connect for charge, to mount the drive, HTC sync... etc. I select HTC sync. The phone will display the message that it is trying to find HTC sync on my computer and then eventually say that it cannont find it.

Only one time did it connect. and at that time it would not allow me to turn sync on for people.

Now it won't even find the program


Can anyone help.
 
My acct and sync settings are as follows: background and auto-sync checked--mail selected for all my e-mail accts and set to sync every 15mins Mon through Sun.

Problem: It never syncs every 15mins. For instance, I could use my phone for 1hour and receive 0 notifications about e-mails. However, if I tell the phone to sync, I will have numerous e-mails. The e-mails will have been received at different times so they aren't all with in the last 15mins of that hour.

Why is this? How can I fix this?

I have never been able to get HTCSync to work. Right now tech support is asking me to set up a call time, since all the standard email based support actions have yielded nothing.

It's been 2 weeks, and they are stumped.
 
Does it work if you tell it to snuck manually? Mine doesn't really auto sync, but if i tell it to sync, it will work.
