HTC Sync, version 3.2.10
This program has been amazing! When I first got my HTC 4G (in April of 2011) I downloaded and installed HTC Sync to be able to sync with my version of Outlook 2003. I don't use Google calendar, OR any Cloud applications. Anyway, it was seamless! It worked great for about a year. During that time I got others using it...made me a very loyal user.
A few weeks ago, it stopped sync'ing w/ my contacts in Outlook (it still syncs with my calendar...thank goodness). The sync program will start, then stall until it will eventually say "No Device Connected". Then a minute later will start again, only to stall and repeat the process. I've called HTC tech support and they advised me to uninstall the HTC Sync software, re-download the latest version and then re-install it. I did, and it didn't work...same result.
I called tech support again and this time they told me that if I had any contacts where either the First Name or Last Name was blank, it would cause this crash, so I needed to edit each contact to make sure there were two names. I have 1,340 contacts, but I went through each one and made sure. To those that were blank, I added a period or an underscore to the blank space to at least be a "filler".
Same result.
Called HTC again and they were out of ideas.
Anyone here have any ideas?
Thanks,
Scott
