Help HTC Watch warning

Yesterday I tried to rent a film to watch on an up coming flight, something I have done without problem in the past. This time I kept getting the message that the licence could not be verified and to retry. This I did about 6 times but no joy. I then thought to check my credit card statement on line and yes you guessed it I had been charged 6 times. Not happy and am waiting feedback from both HTC and my credit card company.

Sorry to hear that you've been having issues with the service Spaceprobe... would you mind keeping us updated as to how things go... hopefully you will get this resolved by HTC/your credit card company!

Interestingly the film I was trying to rent is no longer available on the Watch site and I was able to rent and download another this morning with no problem. HTC are dragging their feet re the credit card charge and this morning I have sent them the pasted section from my on line credit card statement. Will keep you posted. Note if you use Watch you will get an email confirming purchase, which is what happened this morning. However with the incorrect charges I received no emails.

I would imagine that you should be able to get a refund... especially as you had no email from them... the fact that they have pulled the film as well would suggest that perhaps you weren't the only person to have problems with it!!

The saga continues, still no refund, HTC are trying to make me jump through more hoops than a circus performer. The quality of movie playback with Watch is outstanding but if Google movies become available for the DHD I will stop using it because I dont feel I can trust HTC to manage my credit card details

Netflix is the way forward... I found Watch pretty awful

At last charge removed. The trouble with Netflix is that its a streaming service, with Watch you can download. I go off to a friends place in the Canary Islands twice a year. Sadly the low cost 4.5 hour flights do not show movies any more so a couple of films on the phone is a life saver. For the most part I do convert my own and put them on but I have to say I have been very impressed with the sound and picture quality of Watch.
