Ive tried using this it all goes well untill the program says settling sysem (or something like that). but then it says failed to root "firmware to new" (something like that).
btw its a wildfire running on the 2.2.

new to htc so i might not understand what your sayin :o

You cannot root a wildfire that is already on 2.2 Froyo. You can only root if it is on 2.1. I don't know if it is possible to drop a level to 2.1 to allow it to be rooted or not.

"Maybe good news for people with HTC Wildfire. We're looking at it. (Also maybe good news for people with EVO Shift 4G sooner or later.)"

Thanks, dungquoc

I faced same problem, not able to root 2.2 with unrevoked.

Do anybody know how to install clockworkmod recovery, as I have to install a custom rom from zip file.
