is this introduction really worth a new thread? Well, why not - gives me some feeling of importance
I am a professional web developer from Germany who owns a HTC Wildfire since a couple of months now, and I have recently begun writing apps for Android (2.1/2.2 for now) in my position as software engineer at a small internet startup. I like a lot of things about Android and smartphones running on this platform: the way apps can reuse/be combined with other apps, the (mostly) quite intuitive and simple way of writing Java apps, the "openness factor", and of course the way an Android device (especially with HTC Sense) "feels".
I hope to be of some help here (as soon as I get up to speed with Android a little more) and to get some answers to a bit more tricky questions which might also dive into topics closely related to Android such as HTC apps for Android.
