HTC Wildfire from Taiwan

Hi guys, i have a question and i am wondering about, if i bought a HTC wildfire from taiwan for use in canada toronto under Rogers, do i have to unloock the phone? can i just come over and insert my data plan ready sim card in and just start using it with no problem? or what should i do? and what if i bought the DEZIRES series from HTC? would it be a problem?

i saw some posts about dezires series not having 3G network in canada... im worrying about the wildfire too? does it have the same problem? or it would be working fine

well since Toronto has a 3G network it should work fine but why dont you buy it from Toronto ?
if its SIM free it should work.
