Help HTC Wildfire Froyo "Installation aborted" trouble please help

Ok,shall I first try uninstalling the superuser app and reinstall the update or will it not work,what does you think

Got this error while making the goldcard
 
never seen that before have you got the sd card in the phone ??
it must be in the phone and
next to
HTC MMC the memory card must be selected
or did the error come when you tried getting the CID ??
 
Yes the SD card is in the phone.
There is nothing in the HTC MMC even after refreshing,
I think it will come when I select Disk Drive mode
The error came when I tried patching (Patch MMC)
 
WooHoo,Got it working not it shows 2.2.1,got some new features too
Didn't got any error during installation :)

Just one last question,is there anything I need to take care about or this update was just like the HTC OTA update
 
thanks and its just as if you updated OTA :-)
the market may need updating if it hasnt already though turn wifi on and auto sync restart phone open market press home and wait 5 minutes and it will auto update open the market and it should have updated :-)

I am having the same issue with my wildfire. I am rooted and am unsure which steps you have taken to solve this problem. Did you uninstall super user? and which steps did you take and in what sequence because I got a bit lost with all the threads.
