Help HTC Wildfire - Google Talk and Market apps don't work after installing Android 2.2

Hi.. I just installed Android 2.2 on my phone but now Google Talk and Market apps don't work.
Google Talk just won't start while Market keeps saying "An error has occurred, please try again later"

PLEASE HELP!!!

thanks rajbir15380..
the problem was not with the internet connection!

I did a restore after installing android 2.2(by switching off the first, then holding volume down button and power button)..
After that, once someone pinged me on gtalk, everything was fine!!

I know this is an older thread; however, I came across it searching for a similar problem with my zt-180.

I cleared the data for the market and the google service framework and restarted android. After that I had the same symptoms as mentioned above -- both the market and google talk would not start.

In the end, I cleared the data from the "talk" application. Settings->Manage Applications->All->Talk->Clear Data.

Then all was working again.

HTC Droid Incredible 2 owner.

After weeks turned into months, I was ready mark my phone as a "DUMB phone" rather than a "smart phone". I couldn't get into the market, gmail, and several other apps! I went back and fourth with the Google and Verizon support staff. The problem was narrowed down to it being a Google issue I put off the factory reset, hoping to find something in the forums that i had not tried yet. Then, finally broke down and did a factory reset on my HTC Incredible 2. Everything works great now. If only i would have done it sooner, so I am looking at it lesson learned today. :-)

If you are having problems with any "Google/Android" phone, I suggest:

<BEFORE DOING A FACTORY RESET>
1. Back up your contacts (backup assistant on Verizon)
2. Make note of the apps you have or want to make sure to re-download
3. Optional = back up your entire phone while connected to PC, or just your MicroSD card if you have one.
You will loose everything on your phone, except whats on your microSD card, unless you choose to click the box to include SD card when doing factory reset. I did not choose this, and I still had all my pictures and whatever else on it. i did make a copy of it just in case.

Needless to say, I'm like a kid with a new phone. Not only did it fix all of the issues, it's much faster. And because I actually had my market back for the 1st time in 2 months, I found some really cool apps, including one that makes your phone mimic an iPhone :)

Hope this helps & Good Luck!
