Help HTC Wildfire predictive text

jlo31

Lurker
Hi, I went in to three store today in the uk looking at HTC Wildfire and was told there is no predictive text on the querty key pad? When I tried the on on the shop it took me loads longer to type a message in.

Is this correct? They say the latest version on Android does not have the feature.

I use a Nokia E71 (Blackberry look alike) and that guesses the word I am trying to type so can type in messages quickly. This is what I was hoping for with the wildfire?

Can anyone confirm if this feature is present or not?

Many thanks

THanks for confirming this.

Could you tell me what I need to press to enable this?? I will go back to the phone shop and show them how it works then???

Many thanks indeed.

Cheers

There are various options under (from the Home screen) Menu > settings > Language and keyboard > Touch input > text input

I really wanted a non qwerty keyboard and man at phones 4 u said no such thing on android phones. he asked another guy there too. However, fortunately i bought the wildfire anyway and read your thread and found how to get rid of qwerty. maybe htc needs to put the message across that both types of keypad are available. thanks again. from lady dumbleton.:)
