I have bought my 2 sons identical HTC Wildfire S phones. one of the phones works fine, isn't laggy or slow, but the other is a nightmare with being slow and most frustratingly it can't receive texts. It will send them fin - I can send one from my son's phone to my phone and it shows as a sent message on the phone and a received message on my phone, but if I reply, where it goes, who the heck knows??
How do I get this fixed? My wife and I need to be able to text our son fromtime to time - he's just turned 13 so regular contact is vital.
His phone is running androind 2.3.5, HTC Sense 2.1 and sofware number 2.26.401.3. My other son's phone which works perfectly is running the identical software and version 2.3.5
Also the phone has an unusual 'wake up screen' you know when you first bring the phone out of sleep mode - rather than the chosen background, there is an old text from Feb this year sitting there in the middle and no matter what I try I can't get rid of that from the screen.
What the heck do I have to do? I have read a lot of recent problems with the Wildfire - seems odd though as my other son's Wildfire seems to be working perfectly fine!!
