Welcome to Android Forums!

It sounds like you need to flash the stock ROM and "start over."

Welcome to Android Forums!

It sounds like you need to flash the stock ROM and "start over."
Thank you for checking.
I am new to android and to the android forum. Recently unlocked the bootloader with the help of "htcdev" and got the superuser app installed but still in S-ON.
HBOOT 1.02.0000
Please explain me the process of doing the rom flash.
My computer doesn't identify the phone when usb plugged as wildfire stuck at htc logo screen.
Googled a bit and understood that i need to use RUU method. My questions are:
1.phone is an andriod 2.2.1 upgraded so should i need to flash the eclair stock rom or froyo stock rom.
2.Radio version i noticed as 3.35.20.10 HTC_BUZZ_ASIA_INDIA so can i use any asian version as i never use the radio app to listen. Should i bother?
3. My htc CID number i think is htc_038. where and how can i know in which froyo RUU it is in.

Finally,All i have is a bootloader screen with fastboot, simlock, reboot and recovery options. It allways checks for PC49DIAG.ZIP AND PC49IMG.ZIP files in bootloader screen.
Please help me to resolve the problem.

Personally i wont just unlock the bootloader using HTC's bootloader unlock, unless i know what im doing, besides it doesnt give you a good start to rooting your device

Anyways...

You have to downgrade your hboot to 1.01.001, then follow the procedure i used, link >here<
It may seem long, but trust me if you follow it step by step then you'll be fine

When i connect phone to PC, nothings shows off.How can i downgrade the HBOOT.
By holding the volume+power button i can enter into the hboot mode, it shows as "hboot usb plug" or "fastboot usb". Please give me suggestions accordingly.

Referring to my previous quote where i did give you the link

Follow the link i gave you, where it says this:
How to deal with Gold-Card Tool:
1. Switch off your phone, remove your microSD card.
2. Insert the microSD card into your card reader, connect it to your computer and format the card to FAT32 file system.

Instead of doing that
Connect your Wildfire to your laptop/pc as a Storage Device
Just go to My Computer (on your laptop/pc), right-click on the icon which represents your Wildfire, select format and ok
Then proceed.

Forget that it wont help you, many ppl who unlocked their hboot using htcdev still have to downgrade their hboot due to parameters of their android version, which means they (and you) will have to follow the standard rooting procedure
Btw could you be a bit more specific in your explinations, what did you connect your device as? Charge mode, storage device etc.

Okay let me explain...
I placed a file in \system\lib which was related to DSP manager and restarted the phone. Now phone wont boot in and is stuck at the htc screen which comes before the boot sound.

When i connect the phone using the usb cable, i can see the charging light. My PC is not able to idenitify it as a phone or atleast as a storage device because my phone is stuck at htc screen.

Using RUU i tried but getting error 170 all the time. Even tried PC49IMG.zip but it shows the loading progress bar and finally returns to the boot loader screen.
Can i create a goldcard without a phone because my phone doesnt show off in PC.
Fastboot for wildfire buzz possible?
What else can i try? Please help

Ahh i see
If you have installed clockwork recovery, then an option would be to backup your rom and if you are using CyanogenMod, reflash the same version over your ROM without clearing anything, if that doesnt work then you might have to clear your data then reflash - of course by using clockwork recovery

If your not rooted then, i doubt you will be able to do anything except a factory reset, since you dont have clockword recovery and you are unable to use ADB in your Wildfire's state :(
But search around on the internet before doing a factory reset
