Help HTC wont start up

I tried to start my Magic today, but when i pressed the pin and the pattern, there went a couple of seconds, then it said: com.android.phone has stopped working, and i had to force close it. Then i had to do my pin again, and it did it again and just did it again and again and again.

What can i do?

Pull the battery and the sim .... wait a minute or two ... reinstall..

Hold the Menu Key + the Power Key until you see a faint text in the lower left corner of the display of "Safe Mode" ..

that may be all you need to do ... then go into settings and clear the pattern security .. and reboot the phone ... '
