Can anyone rooted still but still got the stock HTC Desire HD lockscreen in place please copy the htclockscreen.apk and attach it here please? I didn't make a backup (forgot) when I reverted to the original FroYo one for use of the silent tab. Can only find a link on XDA for the Evo4G will prob work but wanna be sure by using one from a DHD. Thanks guys!

If that link doesn't work, explain to me (in idiot speak for safety) how to get it from mine and I'll sort you out with it :)

I have Sense 2.1, but the lockscreen is unchanged so you should be fine with it :D

Right the simple steps are as follows:

1.Download Root Explorer
2.Open Root Explorer and go to SYSTEM>APP
3.Locate HtcLockScreen.apk
4.Click the button at the top saying: Mount as R/W
5.Long hold the htclockscreen.apk and select copy.
6.Click Mount R/O to ensure you don't do anything accidentally to anything else.
7.Press back twice to return to the first folder and scroll down to sd
8.Paste and then attach to your computer and upload :D

Hope thats clear...

Tried asking over on XDA but bloody hell its like dragging blood from a stone...I mean how much more specific does this guy want me to be lol

[Q] Can someone point me to the Desire HD Stock htclockscreen.apk? - xda-developers

Root explorer is a paid app right? I gave it a try and a file manager like astro can copy files out of there no problem. That might be a better alternative.

I couldn't explore root with Astro??? Yeah its paid but for simplicity I love it. That and be honest I don't mind paying for apps. It shows to the devs of a lot of superb iOS apps there is money in the android market to be made and entice them over.

I agree, I bought root explorer too since astro can't write to the system, but I mentioned it just in case poopookakada doesn't own it but still wanted to help :)

But yeah, Astro copied an app just fine for me from /system/app. Perhaps it's because I'm on CM7.

Bah not worked...filetype seems to have changed as the icon for the file should be a cog and settings but is appearing as Andy the Android :(

Dya need the other file that goes with it?? The odex file?

Nah mate found Radroids stock ROM list and as he'd got both the odexed and deodexed versions I ripped the lockscreen from the deodexed stock rom :D

Alls well now but thanked your post again as I appreciate your effort :D
