Help htcsense.com Problems!

Hi, I know this seems to be an old thread. However, I've just set my account up as Ive just bought a HTC Sensation.

I have the exact same problem. The functions such as tracker, ring to locate etc all work, just those tabs are missing.

Did anyone ever find a solution or do they just appear? I made sure my phoned synced ok, I think it did as the sync icon was on for a while.

I have tried all the solutions listed above. Different browsers, different computer, different browser on the other computer (if interested I use Google Chrome and IE). Ive even tried from the phone itself. I've e-mailed htc and await a response.

Hi there - welcome to the forums!

There always seems to be problems with Sense and HTC are ALWAYS on with the issues and are 1 month away from being complete!

You can get apps off the market that replicate many (if not all) of the functions that HTC offer through the site!

Sorry that this is not the answer you are looking for, but at least you won't get stressed at it if/when it doesn't work! :)

They've been saying it's a work in progress for months unfortunately. If you're looking for the same features it offers, but actually working. Try installing Lookout.
 
Yeh I have My Backup pro anyway for my contacts and stuff, the main features of htc sence work so Im not that bothered.

I was just making sure that I didnt have to do anything else to try and get the other features to work, thought I was missing something in all honesty.

No mate... HTC's site is just rubbish! Parts of it work, most of the time... I've yet to hear of anyone that has managed to get all of it working though! :)

Wow... you heard from them straight away!! It does sound like a standard response though and I wouldn't hold up any hopes!

Thanks for posting it in here though - at least people will be able to see it as reference (and maybe compare against what response they get too)!

Maybe I have some (disappointing) useful information. Recently I came across the same problem as described here. I contacted the help desk and got a similar answer as anyone here.

As they are working on this problem for over NINE MONTHS, they must have a clue about when they will be ready. (If not there must be something horribly wrong with their RD department) …. But they did not have a clue :eek: ….

However they do have “Terms and Conditions” (www htcsense com en_GB #legal tac). In item 3 "Availability of the Service" it says roughly that HTC reserves the right to change or remove, delete, restrict or block access to, or stop providing all or any part of the Service.

In short this means that you are screwed if you bought your phone before December 2010. If you bought it afterwards, then I am not so sure.

edit: In my opinion HTC has used its right to change HTCsense.com in December. There has never been maintenance, their ambitions where just to high. Evidence for this is found at the sites and in the manuals of newer phones. Here the current version is advertised. Most possibly the promised HTCsense will not soon/never be activated again.

Is it possible to upgrade HTC Sense 3.5 UI into HTC Desire HD?

Saw some post on thinkgsm.com, about rooting and flashing ROMs. Is there any other way..??

My original problem :-
HTCSense.com - After one year from purchase of my Desire HD the HTCSense.com site still only has the basic functions of Forward Calls & Forward Messages, Ring, Lock Device, Erase Device and Device Location.
09 Dec 2011 I spoke with Luke who instructed me to remove account then connect via 3G, sign in then allow sync to take place which I did and still no change.
My question is how much longer before HTC says I will never have the full functions instead of saying the site is under construction or site under maintenance etc?!

Can you answer then why I have friends and people who have bought a phone around the sametime who have full access and fuctions?!!! What makes it any different for me???

Individuals who set up their Sense account after October 2010 would not be expected to have access to these HTC Sense functions of HTC Hub - Footprints - People - Messages - Missed Calls. These functions are not officially supported for people who set up their Sense accounts after October 2010, but as I said before, we are working on this issue and hopefully all functions will be available for all customers in the future.
