Root htcsense.com

Rooted Thunderbolt owners, you too can have a htcsense.com account.

Not everything is working just yet...but this will get you started:

Enjoy! ;)

Oh, and just found a link to get skins as you can't yet download skins (or wallpapers and scenes) from the server yet

Wait, what? The Thunderbolt isn't even listed as an option on htcsense.com yet.

Edit : ok, I clicked the link and it said to use the DesireHD profile for your phone. Before I sign up and do that, is there a way to change it to a TB later on? I don't want to screw up my account.

The way I look at it is if Andynalyne says it's ok, then it's ok. Once they add TB you can probably go into settings on the account page and change it.

Edit: Just did it and it works fine. There is an option to delete the account just in case you need to redo it in the future.

Are they planning on adding the thunderbolt to htcsense.com? I was very bummed when I went to sign up and it wasn't on there. That was one of the (many) big selling factors for me.

Well, the "rumor" I heard is that Verizon made HTC pull HTC hub. Don't know why they would do that and as far as I know, it's just an unconfirmed rumor. But the fact is that the phone didn't ship with it. I really wish they would add it though cause I hate workarounds for things that we should already have.

So I downloaded the HTC sense apk, left it zipped and placed it on my sd card. I then use rom manager/clock work mod to install? Thanks, little rusty.:o

The first link is for htcsense.com integration and you have to "flash" that. To flash something, you have to load the .zip file on your SD card and boot into clockwork recovery to install it. That means you have to be rooted to get htcsense.com working.

The second link is for installing the skins. To install the skins, you put the .apk file on your SD card and just install it with any program that has a install manager (like Astro file manager). You don't have to be rooted to install the skins.

Yeah I rooted last nite. In clock work recovery it does not see it?

Did you go to "Install from SD card"? Clockwork is bad about organizing files on your SD card so it won't be in alphabetical order. When I did it, the file was at the very bottom my root directory.
