Anyone having trouble using the site? I've been trying to use it for the last 2 months, haven't lost my phone but i just wan to test out the phone finder. Apparently everytime i try to search for my phone i get this message

"We cannot get your location at this time, your phone may be switched off or out of coverage."

Is there something we have to do to get this thing working again? Or do we have to wait 6 more months until HTC decides they really need to do something about it? OR should we all accept the fact that the once great idea that HTC had for htcsense.com is now a complete waste?

Yeah, unfortunately that doesn't seem to work all the time. And I suspect that it will remain a beta feature at best. One thing that I've found that kinda forces it to find the phone is to go into Accounts & Sync, remove the HTCSense.com account, then re-add it. Next time I log in to the website it seems to work a bit more to locate the phone. Obviously this really doesn't do much good if you've lost the phone. But if it's never been able to get a lock on your phone you may want to try it and to see if it can...when it's working properly at least. I go in to HTCSense.com every couple of days just to see if it's working. Sometimes it is, often it isn't. So I've resigned myself to knowing that I probably won't be able to count on it when I really need it.

I was just playing around with this again b/c it hasn't been working for me for the past few days. I realized I had unchecked the "Sync HTC Sense" option under Accounts & Sync. When I checked it, the phone immediately remote locked. I had sent the lock request a couple of days ago. And after a few minutes, the location map was able to update my location. So I guess in order for this to work "Sync HTC Sense" needs to remain enabled. I assumed just the "Phone finder" option under Location was enough. Guess not.
