Help HTML Email Support

On my Sensation, I notice that i'm getting text instaead of HTML when I open my emails. Also I get a note saynig my client does not support HTML Emails. Is there a setting that I missed or is there something I need to do to see the emails in HTML? I use GMail, Yahoo and Hotmail. Any insight would be helpful to get this sorted out. Thanks
