Of courcse Im a fellow Verizon Droid X user, love this phone. But, I got a new laptop and using my phone to tether the net. One problem sites with https such as facebook and yahoo mail I could not access. I use easytether works great, but how do I access https sites any work around and I prefer not to root my phone, not that techy..

Thank you,

Jaime

some of those tethering apps require a fee to access https sites. They normally give you a grace period which allows access to https sites then you gotta pay. i know pdanet does this..

There are very painless one-click methods of rooting, such as Visionary in the market.

Or you could just use your 3G mobile hotspot app to tether with. Turn on hotspot. Go home, menu> settings> data manager> data delivery > turn your data off ( while hotspot is still on) leave off for about 10 seconds, and turn back on. Vioala instant hotspot and no need to be rooted.

This is free right? I don't want a huge bill.
