Root Huawei Ascend CM7 Headphone

So, before, I could talk and hear music at the same time through my headphones in the Ascend's original ROM. Now, I tried doing that, yet, the phone still put the phone call through the speaker., even without the music! Any ideas? I'm running CM7. Thanks before hand.

cool...remember dont flash the oc kernel with the new build, just flash cm7 05212011,gapps, and if you are on metro flash metro offv1.3. let us know how it goes.
well I love the CM7 mod. my only two issues are the headphones never work (I just have the stock headphones). they work with cm6 but not cm7. i plug it in, the headphone symbol appears, but the sound still comes through the phone part. the headset ear pieces work for music and stuff just not for phone calls. the headset part is ongoing through all of cm7. and I just flashed the new 05212011 build and the apn mms settings don't work. nothing shows up in the list. I will attempt to reflash now just to see. But does the recovery version matter. I am on i think 3.0.0.5 rom manager recovery. I did do the metrOFF v1.3. nothing shows in the apn (from voicedialer --> open APNs). I tried to even create my own. nothing shows up at all before and after the metrOFF flash. any advice please let me know. I didn't touch the OC kernal. Thanks for your help.

if you flash metro off, there's no reason to open apn, it should work right after you flash it, try sending a mms.
hah once again your very helpful. thank you for that. i reflashed cm7 and gapps. rebooted twice then metrOFF flash. just read your response so i did not go into voice dialer. and the mms is working perfectly now. thank you. either it was a glitch or my going into voice dialer for open apns before i flashed metrOFF last time and after must have messed up something. thanks for your help. now if i can get the headphones to work I'll be in heaven. thank you

An update since I brought up that my headset works but not during phone calls. Sorry for posting it in here. Well my headset works with music but never during phone calls for CM7. Worked for CM6 but never with cm7 did my headset worked for phonecalls until now. I am not sure what exactly got it to work but if anyone asks you all, this is what I did and got it to work. whether it holds or not, who knows. but its working now and i am very happy with cm7 because i have not one complaint with it.
I did try reinstalling CM7 after a fresh wipe but it didn't help. I installed this app called "Sound route switcher". went into that and chose headset, then use the backbutton and exited. now I have no idea if it was a fluke or if that app even did anything but I went into a phone call, it still didn't work, unplugged then plugged it in. then i chose mute, i heard a glitch sound like the headset is working for sound, then i turned off mute and suddenly it was working completely, they could hear me and i could hear them with the headset. I did try mute and other random things like hitting bluetooth but it never had any effect. so either the fresh build or that app helped, not sure but im happy.
