Hypothetical scenario

MoodyBlues

Compassion is cool!
OP SUNDAY: Assume that you and another adult who lives with you are talking in the kitchen. The other person is aware of a project you need their help with, and that it's in your bedroom. You ask when will they be able to help you, and they say "how about an hour?" You repeat, "so an hour from now?" and they say "yes, an hour." You go to your bedroom.

What would you expect to happen next?

==============

MONDAY: adding some info. Based on replies, I thought I'd add a little more info to help clarify the relationship.

The other adult is free to come and go as they please from my bedroom. They never need to knock, and in fact the door is almost never 100% closed--I keep it slightly open so the pets can come and go. The other person has seen me naked, wiped my butt when I was in diapers and bed-bound, helps me with personal grooming, like brushing my hair when I can't get out a tangle myself. They routinely come in and out of my room with no need to knock or ask or anything, even if I'm getting dressed.

If this is just a normal friend, yes, I would expect them to be there in an hour.

If this is someone that they are intimate with, if it were me I'd follow them to the bedroom immediately in case the bedroom project was something spicy.
Damn you, Brian!! :o I KNEW I should've specified, "Keep your minds out of the gutter!!" when I said the project was in my bedroom.

Seems pretty clear to me that they have said they can help you in an hour.

Now if you repaired to your bedroom and never emerged, then I could see them not just barging in to see if you’re ready, particularly if you aren’t all that close. In truth I hardly know you at all, but given your health challenges I could forgive someone thinking you laid down and might be resting.

I realize there are lots of details omitted from this (ahem) hypothetical, but that’s one take on it.

Ignoring all previous thoughts and theories the correct, and really only answer, is nothing. Nothing will happen in an hour because you are still by yourself. You will remain by yourself for multiple more hours, days and weeks in fact.

You immediately go to your bedroom.

What would I expect to happen next?

You do other things or rest for an hour anticipating a knock on the door at around that time?

What prize do I get? ;)

Explain what? Seriously, it needs no explanation.

Help 1 hour. In 1 hour? Yes. What's next. No help.

As you don't get what I mean I don't get how you don't get it so yeah, let's just move on

Was this a bad experience where this person let you down, forgot, disappeared with all the loot, walked in early without knocking?

...... or is this a word play game.

ABC & NBC News, Fox News, MSNBC and 60 Minutes crews will be arriving this evening.
