Wooooow I got a very great great great deal today!
I bought a 2nd hand a Chinese / Generic tablet android 4.0.4 at the helm from Cash Convertors.
It has an Allwinner A13 CPU under the hood!!!
Cortex A8 seems to handle like ANYTHING thrown at it.
I am very impressed,
VERY fast machine in my opinion.
It is in very good nick too, comes with Euro Charger, micro usb, and get this!
It ALSO comes with a micro usb to full USB female adapter!!!?
I did not even know these existed up until now!!
It was very cheap like I think it was R600 which is about less then 100 USA Dollars I think so at least???
Not 100% sure about the conversion of currencies now any way that doesn't matter.
BUT the crazy thing is, the build quality is OUTSTANDING... the build quality is really really really great and creepishly high for the price I paid.
WOW it is nice piece of hardware for the money...
I am going to try and get my hands dirty and have some fun with it since it was sooooo freaking cheap and don't really care if I brick her but
NOW I need you to help me with some random stuff!
How do I access "recovery mode" on this machine???
WIll I nee dto learn ADB commands from the start / all over?
Does anyone know how to do this?
I also want to dump the firmware on here onto a fat32 (maybe ext3???) formatted memory card in case the shit SERIOUSLY hits the fan.
It has an sd card slot so I am guessing dumping the firmware.img or the the system.img is not going to be too hard?
If any one can help me out I will be over the moon!!!
I have already come across the flashing kitchen but am Not 200% sure how to use it properly?
How to make livesiute (.img) file from firmware dump files?
I will upload some photos of my new baby later!!!
