I am new to the world of android and new to programming in general. I have some c/c++ background and that is about it.

What do I need to learn in order to develop apps and devices in android? Any help that any one can give me (books, links, etc) would be great!!

At the Top of the page click on FORUMS (blue background withe letters)

scroll down the page and under "Android Discussions"

you will find a major group "Android Developers" Viola

click on it or one of its sub-forums ...
