Last time I did a digitizer replacement it was for a Galaxy S and all I needed was an eyeglass screwdriver, tweezers and a guitar pick (pry tool). It is not too difficult to swap out a digitizer if you are careful.

Well hopefully your deductible wasn't more than $50 which is what all that stuff would run combined. Last time one of my co-workers broke his DX he had to pay $80...

I paid $99, it was a better deal.

If I paid $50 for the digitizer, I would run the risk of mucking up the phone while doing it, and I would have voided my warranty.

For $99, I got an all new phone, and another year extended warranty and whatnot.
