I can not transfer my phone contacts to gmail...

I have sent my contacts from my phone to my gmail account before. After the Android update I can not send the contacts from my phone to my gmail account....

How can I send my phone contacts to my gmail account?

Are you sure your settings are correct to sync the contacts? It may have gotten changed from the update.

as sitlet pointed out....there are Phone Contacts and Google Contacts. It sounds like you may be setting them as Phone.
