Help I can't find the phone app? (Update is out to fix)

Okay, solved the issue, but will leave this here in case anyone else is having the problem.

First I noticed the phone icon disappeared from my lockscreen, and can't find it in my apps either.

Downloaded the HTC software update and I was able to see it as an app, and set it to lockscreen in settings, but still can't see it on the lockscreen.

A shutdown and battery pull solved this problem.

I just got another HTC update that supposedly fixes "lockscreen." and "widget." not sure if that's related to the problem...

i accidently removed the phone icon on my lockscreen ( the one that you can drag into the circle to go directly to your dialer from the lockscreen) when trying to change anoter icon and i hit the phone one instead. i changed it to people for now but i want to know is there any way to get my phone icon back on my lockscreen menu? i have looked everywhere to try and find it and get it back but have come up with nothing. has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

Yes, On your main screen bottom right is the Personalize icon to the right of the Phone icon, hit that, then hit lock screen, then scroll to your current lock screen, then hit settings, tap on the icon you want to replace, then scroll to the phone icon and the voila your phone icon is back on

i tried that the other day and my phone icon wasnt there, then just now in the process of trying what you were saying again i accidently changed what the lockscreen itself looked like. changed it back to weather and then presto-chango (was going to use voila but you already did) my phone icon was back

Mine vanished too when i had customized my lock screen. Did you download the latest update? Afyer i downloaded it, the phone icon issue was fixed.

I don't know if anyone tried this but if you removed the phone icon from the lock screen customization and tried adding it back, albeit unsuccessfully, it now is fixed!!

If this was posted already, sorry, didn't feel like looking thru a boatload of threads.

Hi all - please bear with me as I'm brand new to smartphones!

I have an htc EVO 3d that quite suddenly made my phone icon on my lock screen and main screen vanish. Also missing from my app menu are my contacts. I'm able to receive calls and when I use voice commands, I can still call people from my contacts.

I see that this seems to have been an issue about 18 months ago, and the general solution was to check for an htc update and install it. I've checked 4 or 5 times for updates, tried to update everything I could, restarted 3 times, pulled the battery, all to no avail. A 45 minute call to Virgin mobile support got me nowhere.

Any help would be appreciated!!
