Help i didn't try to root or try any modifying to my phone

hello ive been without my phone for two days and i really need it.
ive been searching the internet and i cant get no answers , might be because the android world is like another language to me, i cant understand it.
i was downloading some mp3 music to my ps3 via usb cable and when i was done i put phone on wall charger and forgot about it.when i went to use my phone i was expecting a fully charged phone but instead i got a black screen with white lettering that reads

battery low
bla bla bla

so i found out my phone wont charge with that showing on screen , i also found out i could hack a usb chord to charge it, so i did and now my phone says

battery ok
ok to program
connect usb
data cable

i am stuck on this screen and tried pressing every combo of buttons ,tried pulling battery, and still nothing .ive never in any way tried to modifyi my phone , i dont know what is sbf file, i dont understand flashing or roms or any abbreviations,
just to be clear , my phone does not respond to nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
