I don't like being forced into having a Google search at the top of my screen

I am just posting some thoughts on something I don't like.

Well, gosh, so am I.

This is a forum, not a blog, so maybe you can imagine why I thought you might have been posting this to generate discussion on the topic.

The nerve of some people, participating in a public discussion thread with contrary opinions!

Well if you think about it, the google search bar is the action bar. When you long press on an icon or widget, it becomes the "drag here to delete" target. I think there is something else it does as well. So if google were to allow customization there, it would have to be something that fits in the action bar. You wouldn't be able to put more icons or widgets there. I think they should open it up to customization, but I really can't think of anything that would go well there other than a search bar (which I use heavily).

No on "called you out." I never stated anything as fact. It was a simple question, about why you thought that way and a guess. I guessed wrong. So what? You need to chill out. It's just a phone. At least no one is trying to cut your head off tonight.
