I Dropped Her & Smash

I dropped my DInc :eek::eek::eek:. I was out w/ my puppy and a bee flew in my ear and I DROPPED MY INCREDIBLE!!!! I dropped it from about the knee to the ground and it landed FACE DOWN!!!! Probably fell about 2 1/2 feet onto concrete. I also dropped the leash and the puppy didn't run away she looked at the phone on the ground and knew that Mommy was pissed and that if she ran off I wasn't about to chase her shady behind.

The screen went SMASH....:eek: I have a good 3'' CRACK. The phone still works but it seems a little off and I've been dropping calls....

Thank God, Allah, Jesus, The Holy Ghost, & Buddha that I had a screen protector on... I think it would of been a wrap if I didn't. There's a bunch of scratches and scrapes that weren't there before on it.

The Amzer Silicone Argyle case did it's job I guess. No damage besides the crack.

I called Asurion and gave them my sob story about referb phones. The rep said she can note my acct. with my request for a new Inc but cant promise it. They just match the phone and ship them from the 'warehouse'.....

Oh well..... I still have my limited edition pre-order era white box ;).... It took me like since April to tweak my phone to my liking and now I'll have to start over again.
 
Ouch, sorry to hear that about your incredible, very unfortunate that it landed face down. I dropped mine from about the same height with the same protection, but face up and it survived. Sorry to hear about your phone.
 
Sucks to hear that about your phone :(

Hopefully you can find a place to repair/replace the screen for a decent price.

Looks like your gonna have to wait even longer to try root :(

If I ever get mine rooted I will let ya know..

the other day i had my phone on my lap while i was driving in an suv. when i got out i forgot it was on my lap and bam it slid off my lap and smacked asphalt face down and slid for about a foot. i read i couple of these stories about it dropping from knee height face down and the screens smashing so i was pissed. i was cursing up a storm when i grew the courage to pick it and i look at the screen and nothing. not even a slight scratch. there is however a small dent in the top right corner but other then that it was perfectly fine. maybe im just lucky.

i have the invisible shield on it btw. the one that is apparently scratch proof. aside from it being a little sticky feeling and not letting my finger slide completely free im glad i got it

Is that what you said about your Eris before it got thrown "somewhere in the corner"? LOL

Sorry to hear your phone broke. I've actually dropped mine a few times on hard surfaces but I've yet to see any evidence of anything happening to it.
