I feel like i got jipped.

There are instances of the Samsung 3.7" AMOLED screen having a greenish tint, at least on the Nexus One and Desire.

Can you provide some side-by-side examples please?

I got my incredible when they were shipping before pre-order. A month ago i dropped it from waste height and it hit the ground and the pos clear plastic case flew off. No dammge. Two weeks later i went outside and noticed my phone cracked from the volume button all the way to the bottom corner. I went back inside and then came outside and noticed it cracked again from the volume button to the optical. Fast forward to last week. I put my asurion claim in when the phones came off of back order. I got my phone last friday. I have both versions of the Dinc. One with amoled and one with SLCD. This slcd one sucks. The whites are greyish green, and its worse in the sunlight than the amoled. The picture quality is very disappointing. I'm tempted to send the new one back and deal with the cracked one. Its that bad... Picture quality reminds me of the Env3.

I am willing to bet my next paycheck that your new phone has an AMOLED screen, not an SLCD. It may be a defective AMOLED, but it's an AMOLED. Go check your hardware version and see for yourself.

And there is no need to resurrect a 3 month old thread in addition to posting your own new thread :(

I will guarantee he doesn't have slcd (if he does I will paypal him 1 froyo worth of $ :) ).

Oled has s high incidence of color issues, and I think samsung lowered their qc standards (better to get more units out and replace some of them). You have amoled (that's broken, sorry).

hardware is still 002. Its definitely noticeable side by side. Trying to figure out a way to take a picture of both phones. If i take a picture of the each phone with the other, the screens show up really bright, however one is not.

Don't i at least get a cookie for using the search function? I apologize for the double post. I don't have a webcam at work. It's a brand new phone, not a FRU. I guess i have to call asurion now?

I'm at work, i will take some when i get home. It was suggested that it was just a bad screen out of the box. Asurion is shipping me a new one once they get off back order.

Why can't you get one directly from VZW w/o going through Asurion? That's what I've done with my multiple defective devices.

You can IF there is a problem with the devise. Verizon will only replace it under the warranty if it's actually defective.

The OP stated that he dropped and damaged his phone. Verizon will not give you a new one for that. That's what insurance is for.

I think he means the replacement. The replacement is getting replaced by asurion under warranty. I guess i could have gone to verizon, but i got a free car charger for the trouble and two extra batteries and 2 extra chargers now.

Actually, you have to go through Asurion from there on out. When you get a phone from them, you have so many days to return/replace through them, and then the rest is manufacturer warranty.

Upon request, they will send you a receipt to show proof of purchase.
