I FINALLY got my Fascinate!!

ok so I guess I don't have a wireless headset. I do have a bluetooth but I never use it so it's not paired but I can try that? Also, I'm getting closer to the idea of rooting as I'm starting to experience some of the little glitches that I'm hoping rooting will take care of, but haven't decided for sure yet. I'm still a little nervous about it.

I can relate to you, I was worried that I would break my phone if I messed up while rooting it, but it really is that easy. I used this guide:
[Odin] Full EB01 Froyo leak, packaged ROMs w/root and new clockwork **UPDATED**2/11 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

It's very straight forward, and very simple. Give it a try, you know the rest of the android community is here if you reach a road block

ok So I'm going to try to pair my headset later and see if that helps my issue with call quality but now I have a second issue as well. When I'm in the phone with someone they suddenly can't hear me anymore. Sometimes I can fix it by pressing the back button but sometimes I have to hang up and call them back. does anyone have experience with this? I'm starting to wonder if I got a faulty phone, since it was a refurb and wanna know if I should just switch it out for another while I still have time.

=( yeah you're probably right. I'll hop on the phone with them tomorrow and see about them sending me out a replacement

I'm thinking of upgrading my wife's feature phone to either Fascinate or Droid X as she wants to Skype international calls and do occasional web browsing, searching. I guess DX is better as communication device and SF is better as multimedia device. Battery life is probably similar from what I have seen on both forums.

But I wonder if this is good timing to get SF as official 2.2 update is nearing. Also does it come with all the previous official updates pre-installed?
