So tonight I was looking around on my ps3 for different streaming apps and I remember at one point I had signed up for a free month trial of amazon prime. So I started to surf around in the app, selected a movie, and what do you know?, It started streaming....I thought "WTF?"
So I get on amazon.com and check my account...sure enough I had forgotten back in September to cancel my free trial. So it was a surprise...I don't want to say a bad surprise...but thank god I had the money on that credit card. I usually never forget things like that, but looking back on it I was working 6 days a week back then, so it makes sense that I forgot.
It was an $80 cost though....

And the free shipping comes in handy when I'm placing an order that wouldn't otherwise qualify for whatever free shipping offer they may have at the time, such as > $25 orders. I've placed orders for like $3 (nail clippers) and liked not worrying about paying for shipping. I also order things like 40 pound boxes of cat litter (3 of them, monthly, on 'subscribe and save'), which would cost a FORTUNE (based on weight) if shipping had to be part of it. So it's all about how you use Amazon whether or not the cost of Prime is worth it.
