so the problem i stated here http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/277073-should-i-worried.html has happened to me again....... i guess i will have to unroot and see if the problem continues if it does i will have to take it into sprint. Any suggestions before i put the sad unrevoked S-on file on my sd card and flash it? Also what other file do i need my hboot is 2.10 and radio is 2.15

UPDATE: just a thought, im still using MIUI but im using 1.2.11 an older version could it just be Non sense roms that are doing it cause MIUI and CM are the only ones i have had an issue with.

After reading your other thread I had the screen wake issue a few times yesterday when I flashed different kernels. Are you using the kernel that came with MIUI 2.11?

Edit: I've been using a ziggy kernel without any screen wake issues. If you want to give it a try before trying Sense here's the link:

It definitely could be kernel related. I would suggest you try a Sense-based ROM for a while. Getting a baseline with a stock ROM and a stock kernel will help you determine if it's a hardware problem or not.

If you do decide you need to unroot and take it in, though, all you need to do is flash the S-ON tool from recovery, connect your phone to your computer while recovery, and select the option to mount it as a disk drive (it's called something different in CW and RA), copy over the PC36IMG.zip for your hboot version, then reboot into hboot. After it flashes, you'll be all done. This is the file you'd need.

ok i am not using a kernel meaning i flashed the rom and left it at that so does that count as a stock kernel and i guess i will be using a sense rom for a while but not liking the idea of worse battery life.:( I wanna catch any hardware problem early so i dont get to a point where i cant unroot my phone for some very unknown reason.

Maybe try flashing a different kernel first before anything else. Give the ziggy kernel a try. This is the one I'm running on MIUI without issue:

Just nandroid backup first then wipe dalvik/cache and then flash the kernel.

That's good advice. Just try a different kernel first. Right now you just have the kernel that it comes with. It that gives you problems, switch to Sense for a while.

ok will do and hopefully this will solve my problem! :) Cause i really dont wanna unroot...

I spent the better part of the past two days trying to find the right kernel for MIUI. I would have screen wake issues, no usb, random reboots, and horrible battery. Since flashing Ziggy's yesterday I've had everything working and no random reboots. As for my battery I'm going on 15 hrs (about 9 hours sleep) from a full charge and still have 38% left. I've been using my phone a lot this morning.

so far yes but im going to wait a week to say its been fully fixed :) Also this kernal for some reason got the camera app working on miui so im happy about that!
