one of my local buddies from subaru recently got scammed out of his custom built 1 of a kind STI. (his rims where custom made for him and were the only ones in the entire US, and the kid who "bought" the car already sold them and is parting out the car)

Not sure what can be done, but I want to make sure that this scumbag gets what he deserves so im helping spread the story along. The person who got scammed is a very nice guy and it sucks seeing him taken advantage like this!

basically he traded his car with someone. turns out that car he got as a trade was stolen, and now the person he traded with has parted out a lot of the car. To top it off the original owner knew it was stolen and still decided to trade it.

Then he needs to call the cops. Seems like a clear case of criminal fraud and grand theft auto. The kid who had the stolen car and knew it was stolen will go to jail.

The sooner the better on involving the police. They tend to wonder about why it took so long if you really were a victim and not just an angry, snubbed accomplice.

Usually, I would say "really hard lesson learned" but after reading through the pages, I genuinely feel really sorry for his situation and a bit angry as well.
