Help I have a huge txt message thread that I cannot delete!!

its 2000+ messages, slows the whole damn phone down, esp handcent and the other msg app.


when i try to delete it takes forever and just freezes the phone

Are you trying to delete from Handscent or the stock messaging app? If its the stock one, once you hit delete, it will freeze up/force close a few times. Just restart the phone and it should be gone. Thats what I did when I had about the same amount in 2 of my threads.

trying to do it in both. not working

I had a 2500+ thread i was trying to delete and it would hang on handcent and the stock app. I used sms cleaner free on the market and it works like a champ. it took about 10 min, I just left it on the charger. I use it regularly to clean messages that are more than 2 weeks old just so I don't get a massive thread again.

trying to do it in both. not working

Did you restart your phone? Like I said, mines would freeze up a bit then go into a force close every time I'd open the app thereafter. I would then restart the phone and the thread would be gone.
