Help I have ads and random apps installing themselves.

So I have ads that pop up in my notification window. Also random icons or apps appear on my home screen. I have had two now today. First was a local singles app, and the other was some stupid game or something.

I think this is aware/add on or virus. How can I solve this?

Double-check your Play store settings and make sure:

A) "Auto-update apps " is set to "Do not auto-update apps ", and
B) the box next to "Auto-add widgets" is not selected.

If you still have issues, then it's probably the last app installed before the problem began that's causing the issue.

Are you talking about the DROID Maxx or the Galaxy Note 3?
Has every application you have installed to the phone been from the Google Play store?

Sometimes developers do this to make money out of free apps. These adds are tough to get out of and to do so you will have to give your imei and stuff (not recommended)

This is probably caused by a rogue application. Try and check any dubious apps youve downloaded-like free themes and stuff lkke that.
