I have an evo, why a nook?

I took a hard look at the g-tab and it seemed like an awesome tablet, except that screen just kept me from buying it.

At this point I am just going to wait. I figured out that the NC doesn't have a refresh issue, it IS however much slower refresh in the stock rom, and all new rooted roms have the refresh at 60. This is the cause of the issue, NOT that "video is out of sync" in videos. That statement is silly.

If I see a nc at $199 i may nab it. There are so many new tablets coming out soon too, that I can use my evo until then, I think.

Sounds like you just answered your own question. If you do end up with a NC someday make sure to head over to XDA to take full advantage if it.

I have a rooted EVO, and a (few) rooted nooks...I run CM7 stable on all of them...internally, like an OS is meant to be run ...my EVO feels tiny now, and I much prefer using my nook...wifi tethered to EVO, or wifi-ed locally, for everything except making phone calls and hdmi out...Also, if the Nook Color is optimized with latest nightly and OC kernel...it crushes my EVO in most benchmarks. Don't even get me started on games...let's just put it this way...I have a TON more space on my EVO now because I took OFF all the games...they're SO much better on the Nook.
