Are you trying to boot CyanogenMod from SD card or internal eMMC?

Please explain more what you're doing, are you restoring a backup followed by an advanced restore of data? OR just restoring a backup?

Is CM7 installed on your NC (emmc) or on the sdcard?

My wife had problems where she couldn't boot her NC (CM7 on emmc) so I booted into recovery formatted cache and cleared Dalvik cache and tried it again. When that didn't work, I again cleared caches and flashed her rom again, which did work.

Any time you clear caches, it could take up to 5 minutes for the first boot.
