Not so fast. I looked for update.zip in /sdcard.. not there.

So I 'accepted' the update. Phone rebooted, after a minute or so the triangle came up on the screen. Couldn't power down. After 45 minutes, pulled the battery. System restarted with 2.1-update1 still installed. Checked for "System Updates" ...'your phone is up to date' ..

I have s-off installed. ..

Any ideas?

Looking at the logs, Virizon update makes sure for cityid and other junk.. is still installed, if not, it aborts. ..when I was rooted, I had 'moved' them to a backup folder. So in a bit, I'll root, move them back, unroot and try to install 2.2 again.

That's interesting to know, though not surprising since VZW is all about the bloat.

i know it doesnt really matter, but i noticed my phone wasnt picking up 3G, just 1X. So then I turned on my wifi and immediately got the update. 99.9% its just coincidence but for people who havent gotten it yet, could be something to pass the time :)

How does this help? Or are you just adding that in for no reason?

I have only heard it being on x n d2. Id drop netflix for it.

I heard rumours a while ago that Dinc would be getting it with the froyo update, I guess not.

Netflix is nice and all, but wont really serve the same purpose of being able to easily download movies directly to the phone (ie, Netflix doesn't work well on airplanes, or places without much in the way of 3g or wifi.). I have a hard time finding anything on netflix that I haven't seen that I want to see.

Yeah, netflix has gone downhill. All i watch are documentaries on my ps3.
Does moto have bbuster on contract? Never knew you had to (?) buy it from verizon. Wonder if all that destroys our chances of an apk file or anything.

Just got the download to my phone. I'm at work so it was over 3G or even 1X while downloading and took almost an hour. Chose to install later since like I said I'm at work. Can't wait to install and explore tonight. Man, I hope there's no issues. My son's droid seemed all buggy after his update.

What he means is that, with BB filing for bankruptcy, you may soon not be able to rent from them with or without an app, making the app irrelevant.

They're restructuring. As many companies has (successfuly) done. With this app, i don't see them failing. Matter of opinion now though.

Btw, it was a serious question because that link had nothing to say about the op.

I think posting that link for Blockbuster may give him some insight as to where Blockbuster has been heading for quite some time. Although, we had a Redbox(rentals) at our Speedway(gas station) down the street but they got rid of it for a Blockbuster rental box. DUNNO???
