I dont think so. My brother and I live together, got the phone within the same week and have a phone number 4 digits apart. I got it, he didnt.

It has to be random.

as has been stated in many other threads, location has nothing to do with the ota. it is completely random.

It will. You may have to uninstall/reinstall but it will work.

It will. You may have to uninstall/reinstall but it will work.

I can verify that an uninstall/reinstall will be necessary (that is, at least for the Droid & EVO).
I have the official Beta release from Swype installed on my my Inc, my gf's Droid & my friend's EVO. After their update to 2.2, I had to uninstall, log in & reinstall. Now it works just as it did before the update.



Has anyone noticed a trend as to whether or not a #228/Opt2, a reset, or a battery pull makes a difference (one way or another)?

i was reading up on vzwsupport on twitter and they said you have to download it from the market but i guess they lied. what else is new. also your not the only one trying to figure out where to get flash.
