I'm hoping that somebody has received the update by now! Somebody? Anybody? Update?
I've seen two people that have claimed to get it ... check the other thread

Installed the RUU, and have a ton of apps installed (none moved to SD). Quadrant is 1295. Linpack is 33-36 or so MFLOPs. Froyo is definitely much quicker than 2.1 The speed improvement is more noticeable in apps, especially games. Emulators have gone from "run really well" to "run flawlessly"; and 3D performance has gotten a nice boost, maybe roughly 20%.

Call quality seems IMPROVED for me, quite a bit. Signal strength is a little better overall, and I have yet to notice any of the garbling or drop outs present before. They may return though, so knock on wood.

Oh, and the new flashlight app on the brightest setting is REALLY bright; it gets the job done.

Can you still get this update without mobile service and just using the wifi connection? I switched over to the droid x but I still have my incredible. I can still use the dinc over the wifi and I am interested in the update but don't want to switch the service back just yet.

i got my update notifacation this afternoon. it took about 10 min to update to froyo 2.2 . it seems a little faster. the best part is the new apps that are there. we finally got a real led flashlight for the incredible. it has 3 levels of brightness. the 3rd level is very bright. there is also this locator app which looks for resturants and banks and atms near u and works great. the camera has 2 new higher resolutions for video the best one being 720p. it also comes with vz navigator app which seems preety usless, why pay money if google maps is free. it now shows adobe flash ver 10.1 so flash sites should work good though i havent tested any yet. i noticed that the signal bars now show more bars than with 2.1. hope u guys get your updates soon.:D

Any improvement in call quality? I really like the Incredible but about 20% of incoming syllables get dropped. It's apparently a well known issue and reps have been talking up this OTA as the solution.

I say he cheated, how did he get a screenshot if he isn't rooted?

no; android SDK allows you to take screenshots without being rooted. i do it all the time.

and no again, the triangle just means that you're in debugging mode, which is required for SDK

cool, I stand corrected then, all apologies.

The link for the official ota 2.2 leak just has to renamed to PB31IMG.ZIP and installed just as you would update.zip ? Is this correct? And there any difference in waiting for the ota update?

I think if you install the leak, the one from shipped-roms, it completely wipes your phone. If we are talking about the RUU leak.

got my OTA Froyo 2.2 update today. and noticed a few new apps were there. a new flashlight app that uses the LED and has 3 brightness levels. the highest level is very bright. it has a black maglight type flashlight on the screen and u touch the on/off button on the flashlight to cycle thru the 3 brightness levels. finaly a flashlight without having to root.:D

I say he cheated, how did he get a screenshot if he isn't rooted? Also, why is the notification triangle still there if he already has 2.2 installed, this could be shopped?

Why do people ask for screenshots and then refuse to believe them? You guys won't believe until you actually get the update, so why ask about others' experiences?
