I had horrible call quality issues with my phone. Dealt with it for a while but started to get really fed up. I then uninstalled all the apps I wasn't using, not sure if this is what fixed it but my phone has not had an issue since. Really weird. I loaded a SkyRaider 2.2 rom and retained good call quality. Haven't gotten official OTA yet but hope it behaves similarly.

Verizon ......is kinda WEIRD, WHY are they so hush hush about when and how they push out these updates, what is the big deal? Let us in on the big secret.

From what I've seen theres several different causes for bad call quality. Different things have worked for different people ( including updating to 2.2 ) while those same fixes did not work for others ( again, including 2.2 ).

ATT the only way to know, is to try it. If you don't want to wait, just use the RUU which is the official OTA: Be warned though, it will wipe your phone back to factory. ( Though, it's recommended to factory reset after the OTA anyways. )

I put it in hboot, but its not recognizing the file. I reformatted my SD card and everything. Damn. Can you give me a link to the exact file I need? Thanks

We should never have to wonder when OTA is coming. It should be as simple as an update to that dreaded iThingy. Plug into a computer, which should have an Andriod market (can't believe its phone only still) and Verizon just uploads the update to Googles servers. SIMPLE

Yes, a "pull" option would be nice.

Hey just to give you some more info, I was told that there will not be 2.2 software pushes over the weekend, and that Monday they will go from 10,000 per day (yesterday) to 100,000 DINC Froyo 2.2 pushes. This is the same reliable source I used to break this news. I was also told that by Friday next week they expected to be pretty much done, but that it could change slightly. It is possible some got it today, but it is my understanding they were selected from Friday's 10k push. Hope this helps... the OP

My sister got hers this morning...Its saturday...isn't it?

I don't get why some people will not just WAIT until the official OTA - you will have it very shortly!

Why bother/hassle with installing it another way, and risk something bad happening? I just don't get it...

Sorry. I meant pb31d1ag

I don't know if you are asking me a question or what?

but I do know that it needs to be named correctly.

"pb31d1ag" - I don't know what this is.

but I know capital matter and it needs to be this "PB31IMG.zip" and make sure it if your computer doesn't show the ".zip" which most peoples don't that you only name it to "PB31IMG" as it is already a .zip.
