I have recieved 2.2 FROYO

Just finished rooting and S-offing my INC and was ready to unroot in prep for the Froyo OTA and all of a sudden up popped the update notification....... I thought I wasn't supposed to get the notification if I'm rooted?

you know, thats a good point. why would JUST rooting, and not changing the OS or radio version keep someone from receiving the update?

Downloading very slow, but almost 90% now of 93.7 MB. I was about to backup with Titanium and unroot. Now I guess I don't need to.

more n more ppl getting froyo goodness. goes back to the idea that updates get pushed during off peak hours for network bandwidth sake

I keep doing the *228 roaming update, and then pretend when it's done and gives me the "OTA" updated roaming screen that it is really Froyo. Then the thrill wears off after a while, and I have to repeat *228.

It's about as close as I'm gonna get to the real thing. I'm in despair.

i'm in ES file manager right now, i'm in SD card like the other thread explains....there is no "update.zip" file anywhere d00ds.

any thoughts?
