Root I just bought an LG Esteem

Hey can someone give me the link for CWR. So I can root my phone.

What are some very good Rom and kernal out there and some themes? I just want one that doesnt mess up or lag and everything works.

What version are you running ? If you are on zvd which more than likely you are ROM #2 by ldrifta is the most popular but there's plenty to choose from and a lot of nice themes too welcome to the community

you using the wrong one for zvd use this, Security Research by Dan Rosenberg

I always flash CWM from ROM Manager and then boot to make sure.

Check my recent post for the WARNING of which one to use once inside of ROM manager.

Okay, Ive done everything but it's not finding my phone. I have it on internet connection and usb debugging and its been over a long time.

Make sure your PC recognized your phone correctly in Control Panel - Device Manager. If there's unknown device, you have to fix by trying all different methods.

question did you install the lg drivers should be a question to be asked here if your phone isn't being recognized

Since wiping the phone is part of the deal you might as well flash several before adding a lot of apps and stuff.

For battery life the Homeless kernel is pretty freaking amazing:

I liked Plague and the Stock ROMs. I used Homeless with Plagued.

Right now my favorite is #2 ROM.

That kernel dont work with ZVD and will boot loop your phone, thats only for zvb.
