Help I just can't win

OK so here is a little background. I have been going through android phones like water since I got my first one(droid Eris). I have gone through 10 or 11 of them in the past year. I have not broken any of them, they have just been defective so Verizon keeps sending me the crappy like new used phones. well most of them do not work. anyway somehow I has an early upgrade on my phone and so I decided to ditch the D2 i was stuck with and get a better phone, the thunderbolt.
I got the phone in the mail and immediatly set it up. It looks great, there are no dead pixles, there is no dust under the screen, it looks amazing. then my SO calls and it sound like i am in the mountains with the worst reception, instead of in the middle of Manhatten. after trying to talk to her for like 2 minutes the call is lost so I txt her. she doesn't respond so I txt her again and still nothing. later in the day I get another call from her as I am walking around times square and she still sounds all garbled and then after 30 seconds the phone cuts the call. i look at it and it has no bars.
Today I went to verizon to see what they could do and the guy goes, "well I can txt you and call you so there is no problem. " i asked if there was anything he could do and he said, "nope, but you could call support and see if they can do anything" i looked at him baffled and said, "they sent me in here because I only have one phone so I could not call them on another line. I got pissed and said i would just have to mail it back and walked out of the store. My SO then sends me an email saying she has tried to call me all day but the phone just gives her a busy signal.

TDRL:12 phones later and VERIZON can not give me a single working phone in a freaking year!!!!!!!!

To be honest thunderbolts take a while to fully activate on network. Trust me lot of users have this issue. Verizon is trying to update their network as well at the same time. I am sorry you have had 12 bad android phones, I haven't had any to be honest.

Like they said the rep was not wrong, they dont have full control of the system like the upper level tech support does. Just ask to speak to top tier tech not the beginner one. The one I talked to the other day said let me google this. I was WTF, so I asked to talk to another tech and he knew what he was talking about, I had 4g issues in my area and they gave me a ticket number and I was updated today that there is a switch problem in my area and it should be resolved by the weekend, and I am already getting way better service.
 
If you paid for the phone then they should have swapped it out. It is still under the 14 day return policy. I had a similar issue with 2 of our phones. Fortunately my phone I received seems to be in working order. My wifes had a speaker issue and they swapped it out at a local store. I was on the verge of leaving Verizon. If needed get a regional manager involved.
 
The texting issue was a common thing for a lot of people. The phone would be active, but the 4g sim card took longer. It would sometimes show your number as the simcard number instead. All you had to do for that was restart your phone and it would clear that issue up. As far as the phone call issues, I can't really help you. I haven't had any since I got my phone last week. I had the texting hiccup and that was remedied easily.
 
yeah i loved the phone, it just seemed like the network needed to be worked out.
