it'd have to be OTA, they aren't going to power on every single phone or ship them all back before launch

Well, heck, then, it could take two weeks to get everything queued up on their OTA servers and get it all tested out before releasing the phone.

I'm guessing BB is pretty pissed about all these delays. They've gotten some egg on their face by taking pre-orders for so long without any solid release date. I'm also guessing there will be quite a few people who will not buy the phone at BB if it comes out after their free buy-back offer expires (I was planning on getting it at BB, but if it comes out after the 26th I will most likely just go to a Verizon store)
