thanks man and just so you know it was only $50 down to preorder it they wont let you pay for it i tried you have to wait for the phone so if you got a extra $50 on you then you can preorder too and its worth it because you get the $50 gift card so your only paying $250
Grats,Unfotunatley the Best Buy in my area,Valparaiso In are a bunch of dufusses.They said they are not doing preorders for this phone.I called the Best Buy Mobile from the website and they said it is an AT&T exclusive and they also will not do preorders.I tried a couple times and told them I got their phone number from their website that said if I wanted to order call the number.I dunno.So guess I am going to have to go through the AT&T website...

I am waiting to see what Amazon is going to do. I have a $100 Amazon gift card that I am wanting to use. It would make a good dent on that $300 price tag. I wish they too would do a pre-order.

Not a bad idea. I haven't even filed my taxes yet though so I'll probably wait. Also I want to find out how much it is off contract and maybe even wait until Amazon has it for cheaper than AT&T.

Amazon right now has the cheapest price for the international version. They may even have it cheaper than the AT&T off-contract but it's too soon to know. I know Best Buy is saying it's $750 off-contract which means that is probably the same price it's gonna be at AT&T.

Has anyone pre-ordered from AT&T? Do they charge tax on online orders? I saw that Best Buy does.
What is the expected ship date from the Best Buy pre-orders? I looked it and said after 2/19, but AT&T says it will ship on or before 2/17. Do you guys think these ship dates are right?

Hey I just preordered mine too! Followed your advice and went to bestbuy, got the $50 giftcard and free case! Will also be trading in my 3gs for an extra $80 discount. Did you get black or white? I had a really hard time choosing color, went with black. I want to get attention but not that much! Lol...

I just spent over an hour on the phone canceling with bestBuy. What a bunch of morons. My order was showing as backordered, and the rep told me they sold more than their allotment and they will ship as soon as possible. And they will not even ship until 2 days after those who order from ATT will receive their phones.
Now i know why I never shop bestBuy. Whatever happened to that place?
I don't like the case anyway, and the $50 aint worth the trouble I will have if I do not like the phone and have to return it and then will have to spend hours on hold trying to get them to reinstate my upgrade.
Spoke to the local Att store and they said they will have plenty of stock. Guess I'll just go there to see the device before I buy it.

I am sorry that you had such a bad experience, but I can't help but see the silver lining in what you are saying. If it is true that they sold more than their allotment then that means the Note is going to be a pretty big success or at least more successful than they thought it was going to be.
12 more days hopefully 10 if they let us get it on Friday I am going to get a bunch of accessories I wanna get a desk dock but the one that's out won't let you turn it horizontal I want a dock like that I also need a a car dock but one that you could take out the one I saw you have to leave it once you install it

No you jerk, I was being sarcastic... Having such a huge phone will attract attention whether you like it or not, what I was referring to was the color, the white version might be over the top and too flashy.
Come on guys no name calling we are all here for the same reason we all admire this awesome phone lets all be friends

I don't doubt they will sell a ton of them, but I just can't believe bestBuy Mobile customer service is that lame. Suppose I didn't like the Note and wanted to return it and get my upgrade restored? I can only imagine the hassle that would be with BBY.
I'll stick to the local ATT store where I deal with people who actually can help me.
And the reason so many want the note is the screen size. I'm sure within 6 months, Moto and HTC will also offer the exact same size phone. I just wish Apple would increase the iPhone screen to 4.5", that way I wouldn't have to waste my time learning a new operating system.

It's definitely worth it though learning Android. It's not too complicated really. I could never go back to iOS now having all of the abilities I have on Android.
I also am pretty excited for it to be a success. It's such a badass device and I'd like to know that people are more open minded than we give them credit for.
I got my skyrocket from bestbuy mobile and returned it within the 30 days and the next day after returning it my money was back in my checking and my upgrade was back on my account

I ordered a white on 2/5....it says that is reserved and will receive on or before 2/17/12....I added phone to family plan and paid the 299.00 but they gave me a $25 off....they did send me an email saying that item had been back ordered...If I ck order it says it is a preorder and the item is not available yet....I assume they will ship it by 14 or 15 but I guess you just cant ever assume with ATT.....LOL

Anyway I ordered on the 5th and it still says processing. I'm looking forward to the note I've never had a smartphone before. So I'm reading here trying to learn a little about Android.
I've got a Samsung micro sd card 32 gig and also a Satechi bluetooth sattelite phone I'm going to use for voice calls at work.
