I just rooted 2.1!!! Swype help

I just rooted my eris to 2.1 and I am ecstatic !!! Now I am wanting to get Swype and I don't know how to get it going. Would someone be so kind as to learn me how to get swype for 2.1 (I do have the barcode scanner) and how to set it up? I am a total novice with root and all this fancy business so please bear with me.

Hey man, I'm on the fence about rooting. What are your impressions? I noticed we were at the same spot when you posted before and said you weren't too sure whether to go for root or the leak...also how hard was it?
