Root your phone correctly. Flash back to stock and then you can use the Galaxy Avant CF Auto Root, no more messing with KingRoot.

plust the zda fourm says Kingo Root doesn't seem to be able to connect with it but it did with mine

Well this is what you have to do to get SuperSU. Flash stock firmware from sammobile.com and then search for the Samsung Galaxy Avant cf auto root file and flash that in odin. You can flash the twrp for the Avant as well.

SuperSU isn't blocked by knox and that just speaks to the lack of research you have done like glc said.

clicked reboot and just gave me a thing to follow them on Facebook, Twitter anf Google

It was telling you that it wanted to disable Knox because it messes with root. If you still have Kinguser files in your system I would still flash firmware and root correctly but to each their own.

Should be stock firmware for your phone and you will flash with Odin the same as you did your friends. I'll post CF Auto root next
