I checked out some Amazon reviews about that product and it seems a lot of people are complaining about the audio quality. What's your experience with that been like?

Does this plug into any modern non-smart tv? And do you need to have a wifi router or does it use the phones own wifi transmitter?

I'm getting one with my bonus.... so my s3 will be a games console, long after it ceases to be my phone.
Funky, uses s3 transmitter but not sure if its direct connection though..... It plugs into any HDMI socket. Perfect for my 2009 Samsung tv that was pre DLNA etc, but it doesn't need to be smart, samsung or whatever. Just HDMI is only requirement

Thanks man. I have an HD tv but no home broadband or router. Ill look into it. The MHL cable is a PITA tbh

ya i have it too its great i connects directly via wifi direct afaik. I am not thinking of the future and hope its compatible with the s4.

I have every intention to get the s4. I somehow get bored of my phones in a year and tend to change them every year.
no cause when im connected to my wifi it makes me disconnect to connect to the dongle. It starts up wifi direct to connect.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with the audio.
the dongle updated the moment i connected i guess that my phone had the updated loaded already and it sent it to the dongle.
display quality is excellent i was browsing and the text is crystal clear on my 46 1080p samsung tv thats like 5 yrs old. and the dongle will work with any tv with hdmi.
netflix was fantastic and i experienced no noticable lag as some reviews stated.
not sure why people had problems with it. connecting was seamless and quality was fantastic. im very happy with my purchase. in fact i am now considering getting a note 10.1 just because of this.
and u can set up a sticker to auto connect once scanned which i will do today
