I might HAVE to get a new phone soon...

My replacement X, about 1.5 months old seems to be having hardware issues. It will "go crazy" and select whatever is on a certain section of the screen.
I dont think I wanna deal with ANOTHER warranty replacement. Im just over it......

My question is, what to get?
I know only I can decide for myself, I planned to keep the X for another year but i guess not.
Mainly I use my phone for texting and calls. Some browsing when im bored (forums, phonedog, facebook, etc)..
At the current moment there is no android device I would want to go with....unless the bionic comes out VERY soon....

I am honestly looking at the new Blackerry 9330.
It DOES NOT support Flash but does support HTML 5? Is that compariable?

What would you do? Im gonna try to wait a few weeks but if my phone keeps freaking out then its gotta go! I cant do daily batt pulls....
Overall im just pissed I guess......just venting...FRUSTRATED!!!
 
I've read in a couple places that the Bionic will be released early September, but take that however you want, we all know that dates are never accurate.
 
HTML5 is not comparable to Flash.

Everyone uses Flash for videos/animations/games. Very few people use HTML5.
 
I considered moving to a different phone, but I didn't want to get all new accessories and docks. It took VZW three replacements to get it right for me.

Also something to note if you try to stay with the DX - my local VZW store said that if you complain enough, ask for a supervisor, etc, they should be able to send you a new phone, which may mean a DX2. Don't ask for the DX2. Just ask for a new phone. They don't make DXs anymore so the only new phone option is the DX2.

This is true, since you have a 90 day warranty on replacements you could get another one and there are better odds that you end up with a DX2 than another DX. I would not go out and pay and waste an upgrade on a DX2, but if someone was willing to switch one out for my current DX I would take it.
 
I'm not due for an upgrade until next year. I paid retail for my DX back in March but I am strongly considering paying for the Bionic due to the rumored excellent battery life, 4.5" screen, better screen resolution, and dual core processing even though the apps haven't caught up with that yet.

Also coming is the rumored Droid HD which is said to have many of the same specs as the Bionic.
 
Many articles recently have refuted the original 4.5" screen claim. It looks like it's going to be a 4.3" screen.

Which I'm happy about - I'd actually like a 4" screen, but whatever.

All of the older reviews I've read says 4.3, but the new ones say 4.5. I read one yesterday that said a 5" screen, I assume that was a misprint.
 
Im about to call VZW to see what they can do.....i hoping for a replacement....

EDIT - VZW will call be back in a hr when I hopefully can use my freinds phone.
Im gonna SBF so I can do the walk through with this VZW lady...
 
Bionic comes out September 8th. (Official Verizon Map leaked) It will not have a 4.5" screen, but it should be a decent phone (after all the hype it better be)

My suggestion is to stay with Android and avoid Blackberry like the plague. No love for RIM, they are behind the times in the smartphone world.
 
I've really enjoyed my DX but I also am thinking of upgrading full retail for something else soon since my upgrade isn't until next March
 
So the lady from Verizon had me update to the. 602 update.
It's stock and sucks.
My phone keeps freezing still.
They noted my acct and said I can call back if I experience problems (which I am) and they will get a replacement sent out.
Ugh. Its so annoying. This. 602 update is horrible. The phone is almost unusable.
This will be my 5th DROID x. They will be getting an ear full.

Factory Reset then battery pull then reboot.

Make them send you another one. My sister in law had the same kinda stuff going on until she finally got a new one.

They are contacting tech support to give me some replacement options...

EDIT - Tech support is sending me out a replacement X...Is this one sucks then Im gonna upgrade to something...Wish me luck!!

I just ordered the Blackberry 9930.....ugh.
I hope i like it. The new BB will be here tomorrow...
The Certified like new will be here Wed and is up for sale with a lot of accessories.
I needed a change and didnt want to go 4g....it was either the D3 or BB. BB won....
